I spoke with Wes at tirerack and one of his opinions was that when I buy new rear tires, I get the same as the front tires. This will keep the cars handeling more managable because the fronts wont be loosing traction while the rears grip. I said ok...but my fronts are Dunlop SP 5000s and they're not the best at dry/wet handling for $124. For $123 (each) I can get two Potenza RE750s...which are excellent in the dry/wet. Does anyone see problems (and please point out safety issues) with Dunlop SP 5000s upfront and Bridgestone Potenza RE750s in the rear? All of this is on stock TT wheels.
